How to use Outlook to view your email at the office AND while on the road
(or at home)
If you want to view your email at the office and while on the road, you must
tell Outlook to keep your messages on the server. The most usual place to
do this is on your office machine. Here are the steps you'll need in order
to configure this feature.
Note: The following steps are for Outlook 2003. You'll need to
adapt your steps for a previous version of Outlook, but they should be similar.
Step 1
Select TOOLS, then EMAIL ACCOUNTS. In the E-Mail accounts window,
select the "View or change existing email accounts" option, then click NEXT.

Step 2
Select your email account name from the list, and click the CHANGE button.
Step 3
In the E-Mail Accounts window, find and click on the MORE SETTINGS button.
Step 4
In the Internet E-Mail Settings window, select the ADVANCED tab.

Step 5
Under the word Delivery, select the checkbox next to "Leave a copy of
messages on the server". I suggest you also select the option to "Remove
from server when deleted from 'Deleted Items'" option too.
Step 6
Click the OK button, then click the NEXT button, then click the FINISH
button.
